Ok, so we wanna know who in the hell...

bought us a year membership??
In the 7 years we've been here this has never happened to us, not once. And quite frankly, the fact that there's someone out there that thought we were worth a bill, or a tank of gas (I swear I'm not being sarcastic, LOL!) We feel...well, pretty damn shiny right now!
So thank you so much whoever you are, for the wonderful random bit of super dee duper niceness and for the heaping boost of F**K YEAH you gave to our day! You, mystery man/woman are made of 100% organic, grade A awesomesauce!!!!!

1. I'm turning into a Kabuki nut, and Tamasaburo is AWESOME.
2. I will always prefer a regular book over a digital one.
3. I laugh all the time. It's a very loud, unmistakable, obnoxious laugh. I think in my previous life I was a hyena, LOL
4. I seem to enjoy collecting bentos and lunchboxes but I rarely make anything to put in them.
5. An art session is not a productive one unless I am a complete mess at the end of it. It takes too long to stay clean!

A. That's a tough one...I like to check both because sometimes the anime might leave out stuff (or add way too much filler) from the original story but as a whole, I like anime better. I like studying the movement and expressions and stuff.

A. Kenshin!! Himura Kenshin all the way!

A. Definitely a traditionalist! I love experimenting with different mediums and seeing how one works with another and how I can incorporate them somehow. However, I do know digital though and I'm happy that I do. I've even gotten to enjoy the process a bit! But the whole motivation for me to understand digital media was more because I had to learn it not really because I wanted to.
10. What are your beliefs about the Divine and supernatural?
A.I think God created alot more than just the earth and mankind. Just because we can't see it all, or can't explain it all, doesn't mean it doesn't exist!

Mission AFO: Success!

First off, I wanna say hi to all the new DA friends we've made since the con! You guys rock and we can't thank you all enough for chatting us up and I hope you had tons of awesomeness throughout the weekend, LOL!
The con was ever so cool. We scored a sweet spot, and got lots of traffic between panels. Of course, during pre-reg perion and big events like the cosplay contest and stuff, lines were so long they were stalled right in front of the table. Which was just fine for us because then we had more people to talk to while the line was moving (and...not moving, lol)
Dee Jay's Black Rock Shooter watercolor got sold on Friday and he couldn't be happier! He worked his ass off on that as well as modding the frame to make it all match and look like one cohesive piece. It was great to see it go to a new home!
One of the highlights of the weekend was the group that helped us spread the word of our raffle we had going on throughout the weekend. Dee Jay spotted a dude with a megaphone and was like "pfffpbt why not!" so he went over to talk to him. Next thing I know I hear the guy advertising our raffle, with his friends going around and enticing others to look at the raffled art and stuff. We got ALOT of traffic, which surprised me considering there was a big ass rave party going on! But thanks to them we got alot more people wanting to participate, and there was a great turn out for when we announced the winner on sunday!
So congratulations Ron for winning the pin-up piece!!! Thanks so much for all the support (and muffins!!!) and we sincerely hope you enjoy it!!! And thanks to every single person that participated in the raffle!! We couldn't have pulled it off without your support and enthusiasm!
I think...I think that's about it for now. I'm gonna go back to work on post-con clean up and inventory so we can get ready for our next con in September.
