I'm sort of bummed that I have no actual stuff to post up here, but I wanna post something. I have a little bit of time before I head to sleep so I'm just giving a word of warning now that I may post up a bunch of my photo manipulations from my media 2 class. But I warn you, they're s**t. Aaaaand since there are quite a few I don't wanna re-post the artists updates and stuff so I'll just do it here and try to link it or something.
OK GO!
The aim of the game was to make a visual journal in a way: take random excerpts that I liked from a poem or chapter that I chose from a collection of books my media teacher had for us to skim through. From there we had to use text and incorporate those words or sentences into the pictures. In doing so we would put more of our personality and insight into the content and in a way sort of make the story our own.
..does that make any sense?
The poem I worked off of is Bill's Story by Mark Doty.
for the project itself, it wasn't necessary to actually show the entire poem with the project, but if anyone wants to read the poem, just let me know and I will just repost it here in this journal.
Thanks!
Genki
