How to make a GenkiGoth:

Take one part angry, scary black guy to one part multi-colored hyper latina. shake vigorously untill the mixture is a consistency of a brooding glowstick

~katrueblu says that Anime Detour is sold out. I didn't believe her. Whaddaya know? It is.

HOW THE HELL DOES A CONVENTION "SELL OUT"????? That's NEVER happened in ANY convention I've been to, no matter how small or dinky it was. I mean, yeah I know it's my fault for not registering earlier, but at the same time i thought I'd be able to buy my tickets at the door or something. But I can't even do that now, because it's SOLD OUT.

What the hell dude?

wtf?
Cons here in FL don't "sell out"... xD
I've never even heard of it o_o

But I guess it's a good way for them to keep a certain amount of people there, without it being extremely crowded...

The hotel that Anime Detour has their convention at only allows a few thousand people to apply. Their capacity really isn't large enough, and it is the most well-known one in Minnesota. Anime fans as far as Moorhead (about 4-5 hours away) travel to Anime Detour every year. I should have expected it last year, after the tickets were sold out Friday afternoon, but just two years ago it took them until at least Saturday to sell all their tickets. I'm amazed as everyone else.

On Saturday afternoons, though, some con-goers go to the nearby MOA with their costumes still on. They apparently like to play DDR there every year....

I didn't know it was so popular...at the same time though, if it's that big of a con, you'd think they'd want to move it to someplace bigger where more people can enjoy it? I know I wanted to go...and it sucks that there won't be any available to purchase at the door. That's really unfortunate because they're capping themselves from making a s**t load of money from people who frequent and new comers as well.

They should move it to fit in more people, but I don't know what their situation is, so I can't speak for them, either.

Well, there is one other con and it's coming up in mid-April. It's about two hours away in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. I've never been to that one, nor do I know anyone who has, but it's the otherwise closest anime convention that I know of.

It's been a very hard road that I've traveled...
LOL!
There are places here that sell it, mainly in asian supermarkets and international markets. There's one really neat place that has fruits veggies and cheeses from all over the place, stuff you'd probably never find at a regular supermarket. But I'm also getting by on Pretz. It's like a pocky with no chocolate and the stick itself is flavored. My hands down favorite is french toast Pretz which you can actually try to find in Orlando. My manager got me like, 5 boxes of the stuff before we moved to MN and...my god that stuff is delicious!!!

Ooohh, I know what you're talking about!
Pretz is the salty stuff, isn't it?
Eek D:
I'm not much of a fan... xD
I think I like sweets better!~
I'm a very sweet person, yes, yess~~ =D

Pretz is actually a sweet snack. French toast flavor REALLY does taste like french toast. There's nothing salty about it. There's another flavor I had that was lemon and honey. It had a bit more of the honey flavor than the lemon, but it was still pretty yummy! I've got a bad sweet tooth myself!!
